My Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Angela Priede
I provide evidence-based assessment and therapeutic services to adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and major life stress. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood, respected, and supported—not simply treated as a collection of symptoms.
Whether you are seeking individual or couples therapy, our work begins with understanding what is happening in your life, the patterns keeping you stuck, and what you hope to change. You may be navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship conflict, intimacy concerns, or emotions that feel difficult to manage.
Using established, evidence-based approaches, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your needs, strengths, preferences, and goals. Our work may include building coping, emotion-regulation, and distress-tolerance skills, setting healthier boundaries, challenging unhelpful beliefs, improving communication, working through difficult experiences, and strengthening your relationship with yourself and others.
Therapy can help you better understand yourself while developing practical tools to manage difficult emotions, communicate more clearly, make confident decisions, and approach challenges with greater flexibility. Treatment is adapted throughout the process and moves at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.
Ultimately, I hope our work helps you move toward greater emotional well-being, resilience, confidence, connection, and self-understanding—and toward changes that feel meaningful, sustainable, and grounded in your everyday life.

Service Locations & Virtual Care
Services for Ontario Residents
I provide both in-person and virtual psychological services to clients located in Ontario. In-person appointments are available in Ottawa, while virtual appointments are available to eligible clients throughout the province.
All services are provided in accordance with the professional standards, ethical requirements, and regulatory expectations of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). The format of care—whether in person or virtual—will be determined collaboratively based on your preferences, clinical needs, location, and the appropriateness of virtual service delivery.
Virtual Services for Residents of New Brunswick and Quebec
I am registered as a psychologist in Ontario and provide virtual psychological services from Ontario to eligible clients located in New Brunswick and Quebec. All services are delivered remotely, and I practise in accordance with the professional standards, ethical requirements, and regulatory expectations of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
Please note, I am not registered with the College of Psychologist of New Brunswick (CPNB) or with the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ). When working with clients in either province, I remain accountable to the CPBAO as my governing regulatory body.
Before beginning services, we will review the nature and limits of virtual care, including privacy and technology considerations, emergency planning, and the importance of confirming your physical location at the time of each appointment. Virtual services will only be provided when they are clinically appropriate and when I am able to practise within my authorized areas of competence and scope of practice.
If you have a concern about the psychological services you receive or wish to make a formal complaint, you may contact the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. Information about the CPBAO and its complaints process is available through the College directly.
